There’s no shortage of landmarks in Maryland. From historic buildings, to forts, and more, the Old Line State is full of things to see (and do). The following landmark has been and iconic fixture in Maryland for decades, but not many people know that it was actually imported from Italy. There's a whole lot of beauty and inspiration at National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. You'll find this peaceful place in Emmitsburg, next to Mount St. Mary's University. While technically a Catholic shrine, anybody can stroll the grounds here and take in the beauty.
