Filitalia International, the Italian-American organization committed to preserving and promoting cultural heritage worldwide, proudly announces significant developments in its organizational structure and leadership. On February 19, 2024, Filitalia International unanimously elected Alessandro Sparacio (Delaware County, PA Chapter) to its esteemed Board of Directors.

Sparacio, a proud first-generation Italian-American, brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the organization. With a background in the Life Science field and a current role as a Product Manager in the health technology space, Sparacio's expertise will be invaluable in advancing Filitalia's mission.

President of Filitalia International, Saverio Nestico appointed Sparacio as Chairperson for the Communication Committee, recognizing his dedication to fostering connections and sharing the richness of Italian American culture.

Also elected to the Board of Directors is Vincent Rizzuto (Montgomery County, PA Chapter). Rizzuto, an aerospace engineer turned entrepreneur, has demonstrated remarkable leadership through his company TrueFan Travel. His passion for sports and travel aligns perfectly with Filitalia's commitment to community engagement and enrichment. President of Filitalia International, Saverio Nestico appointed Rizzuto as the Chairperson for the Sports Committee, acknowledging his potential to enhance Filitalia's outreach efforts.

The Board of Directors officially approved the creation of the Catanzaro 1, Calabria Chapter after unanimously being approved by the Expansion Committee. The 4th Chapter of the Calabria region and the 12th overall throughout Italy. Led by President Donatella Cristiano, they will foster relationships throughout the region to help advance the mission of Filitalia.

On January 29, 2024, the Assembly of the Italian Chapters of Filitalia International made history by approving the establishment of the Distretto Italia (Italian District). This monumental decision solidifies Filitalia's presence throughout Italy, with 12 Chapters already established from Veneto to Calabria. The assembly unanimously elected Dr. Pasquale Nestico, Founder & President Emeritus of Filitalia International, as the President of the District. Dr. Nestico will guide the district for the next two years, supported by a distinguished team of officers including 1st Vice President Michele LaRocca (President, Vibo Valentia, Calabria), 2nd Vice President Mina Cappussi (President, Bojano, Molise), Secretary Sandro Amedeo (President, Roma 1, Lazio), and Treasurer Massimo Mastrodomenico (President, Frosinone, Lazio). The Board of Directors will be made up of 5 other Chapter Presidents: Simona D'Uva (Campobasso, Molise), Michela Mortella (Naples, Campania), Matteo Stancato (Cosenza, Calabria), Bruno Cortese (Crotone, Calabria) and Donatella Cristiano (Catanzaro 1, Calabria). The Italian District's headquarters will be located in Rome, reaffirming its strong affiliation with Filitalia's Philadelphia headquarters. During the assembly, President of Filitalia International, Saverio Nestico, congratulated the commitment and maturity of the Italian Chapters which are growing in number.
