Attention All Italian Americans: We would like to invite you and your friends to attend this Press Conference. The Randolph NJ Italian American community asked the IAOVC to reach out to you because we will be holding a press conference on Sunday June 13th 2:00PM ET at the Randolph NJ Diner - 517 NJ-10 E, Randolph, NJ 07869.
This is regarding the recent elimination of Columbus Day from the school calendar. The community was denied permits for several different public locations and were forced to seek out a private location. In addition, the Randolph BOE notified the community that they will have an in person meeting on June 10th as opposed to a virtual meeting. They also stated only 30 minutes will be allocated for public comment at 5 minutes each.
We feel this was done by design to silence the community on this issue as many people registered to speak virtually. The community was notified only three days before the BOE meeting even though we are still in a pandemic.
Please let us know if you can attend the Press Conference. RSVP [email protected]
