Lino Tagliapietra, an internationally renowned glass artist from Italy, arrives at the Pittsburgh Glass Center on Monday for a one-week residency with his Seattle-based team. Examples of Mr. Tagliapietra's designs are on exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the de Young Museum in San Francisco, and Carnegie Museum of Art.
Mr. Tagliapietra, 79, will work with four American glass artists who make up his Seattle-based team: Nancy Callan, Darin Denison, Jen Elek and David Walters.
