A special event was held in Cumberland County this past weekend to celebrate Italian heritage. On the night of Saturday, October 21st, the Italian Cultural Foundation of South Jersey held their 30th annual Gala Ball at the Greenview Inn at the Eastlyn Golf Course in Vineland.
Each year, the event honors those who show immense pride in their Italian heritage, and who help the community, with the "Spirit of Achievement" awards. This year's honorees were James C. Geraci and Vincent Marolda.The Italian Cultural Foundation of South Jersey is a non-profit organization that works to educate the community about the history and culture of Italy, and the role Italians played in American history.
