On Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Patriots Theater at War Memorial, Visions of a starry night sky will open a Ballroom concert with “A Little Night Music.” As the anticipation for spring reaches an all time high, the Capital Philharmonic presents Vivaldi’s timeless “Four Seasons.” For fun, they have also programmed four months of the year from Tchaikovsky’s “Seasons,” to compare his interpretations over 150 years later.
The guest artist this evening is the young Italian violinist Lorenzo Mazzamuto. Born in Catania, Lorenzo graduated Summa cum laude from the Vincenzo Bellini Musical Institute of Catania, and made his solo debut with orchestra at age 11 performing a Vivaldi Concerto. Recently, he graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory “P. I. Tchaikovsky” with the highest scores in the class of the “Great Artist of the People” Sergey Girshenko.
