John T. Veltri, Sr., 87, of Charleston passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at CAMC-Memorial Division following a short illness. Born December 9, 1930 in Charleston he was a son of the late Joseph and Constance Lopez Veltri. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janet L. Veltri; sisters, Rosalie White and Mary Mazzella; brothers, Dominick and Frank Veltri; nephew, Vince White; niece, Connie Waybright.
A first generation Italian-American, his mother and father instilled a very strong work ethic in him. Long days and attention to detail, allowed for a long career with Charleston Tile and Marble. His Catholic faith and upbringing further advanced his generous and giving nature. He held one of the biggest hearts known.
