West Essex area residents Annette DiBlasio and Louis LaSalle were recognized as 'Stellas della Contea di Essex' or, 'Stars of Essex County,' at a commemorative event recognizing Italian-Americans on Thursday.
DiBlasio, of Caldwell, is the Budget Analyst with the Essex County Office of Budget and Management. LaSalle, of Roseland, is a Senior Vice President at Barnabas Health and Chair of the Essex County Parks Foundation Board of Trustees.
