On June 20, 2013, the Lido Civic Club, through its charitable scholarship foundation, the Lido Civic Club Charities, Inc., will award tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to worthy high school seniors of Italian descent bound for college. The annual Scholarship Award Recipient Reception will be held at the spectacular Italian Embassy located at 3000 Whitehaven Street, Washington, DC 20008 at 6:00 pm.

Last year's Scholarship Awards reception at the Italian Embassy was an overwhelming success and the Lido Club thanks Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero for allowing the Club to use the beautiful Embassy reception space. This year's event will begin with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and a grand welcome by Lido Civic Club president Phil Finelli. The awards ceremony will immediately follow. This year, the Lido Civic Club, in conjunction with the National Italian American Foundation, anticipates awarding $60,000 in college scholarships.
