Mt. Carmel Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza is days away and excitement is brewing for what is a main highlight and summertime tradition in Berkeley Heights. The four night festival kicks off on Wednesday, July 12 and runs through Saturday, July 15. Local residents and guests can expect nothing short of a good time at the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
This long standing tradition is in its 108th year run by the Mt. Carmel Society who put a ton of work and coordination to bring the festival to Berkeley Heights. Kids of all ages will enjoy a wide variety of amusement rides and games while the over 21 crowd can visit the beer and wine garden. Festival goers can choose from a multitude of food vendors that will include the crowd favorite zeppoles, fried oreos, Italian ice, popcorn, funnel cakes and much more. In addition to rides, games, and food, festival goers can enjoy live music from local bands.
