Congratulazioni!
Belleville restauranteurs were among local Italian Americans honored by County officials this week.
Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr. hosted the 2013 Essex County Italian-American Heritage Month observance on Monday in the LeRoy F. Smith Public Safety Building.
DiVincenzo recognized Nanina's In The Park co-owners Vito Cucci, Barry Maurillo and Joseph Maurillo as the 2013 "Stellas della Contea di Essex" (Stars of Essex County) for their leadership and dedication to public service.
"Our celebration is an opportunity to recognize the contributions that Italian Americans have made to the history and culture of Essex County," DiVincenzo said, saying Nanina's owners were among proud Italian-Americans who have positively impacted our world.
