Friday, October 12 at 2pm at the NIAF headquarters located at The Ambassador Peter F. Secchia Building, 1860 19th Street, NW, Washington, D.C. A ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening the NIAF Museum, which features historical art, artifacts, documents, publications, and digital presentations providing visitors insight into the Italian American experience, including a new exhibit from Italy, Lontane Americhe: Faraway Americas.
NIAF board officers will be in attendance, including Patricia de Stacy Harrison, president/CEO, PBS; Gabriel Battista, Former president/CEO, Talk America; John Calvelli, EVP, public affairs, Wildlife Conservation Society; and NIAF CEO Lawrence Purpuro. The opening of the museum is part of the NIAF Anniversary Gala Weekend, October 12-14, which includes an intimate dinner with Lidia Bastianich; an Expo featuring exhibitors from NIAF’s 2018 Region of Honor, Puglia; and a black-tie dinner honoring six individuals who have contributed at the highest levels in business, science, the arts, and government.
