Photos of Guardiese immigrants sought for art exhibit

The Scranton Chapter of UNICO National is looking for contributions to an upcoming First Friday art exhibit. The chapter, in conjunction with Pro Loco "I Longobardi" of Guardia dei Lombardi, Italy, hopes to find vintage photographs of Guardiese immigrants or their descendants who settled in Northeast Pennsylvania.
The exhibit will be held in December at Lackawanna College for First Friday, then transferred to Guardia dei Lombardi in January for exhibition in the town's museum. Those wishing to submit photos can contact UNICO Scranton heritage chairwoman Stephanie Longo at 570-815-7401 or email [email protected].
