Plainfields' UNICO President Bob Bengivenga (Right) and New Jersey District X Governor Anthony Bengivenga (Left) send their virtual greeting to the regional volunteer firefighters in Bergamo province in Italy known as the "Vigili Del Fuoco Isole Bergamasca", whose commander is Luigi Mandelli.
Twelve years ago in December 2008, UNICO officers Bob and Anthony Bengivenga along with Mike Colucci and Mike Walko participated in the official inauguration of this regional fire department. That year the Italian volunteer firefighters were also hosted in South Plainfield, NJ as part of the sister city program and toured the local volunteer fire departments and exchanged gifts.
