Dr. Mary Rorro received the Presidential Gold Volunteer Service Award which is an award bestowed by the President of the United States. It was established by executive order by George W. Bush to honor outstanding volunteers that give hundreds of hours per year helping others and recognizes the impact they make, through the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation.

The photo and quote is included in the Women in Medicine exhibit at the Drexel Legacy Archives. Dr. Mary Rorro gave two presentations about her work with veterans and as Chair of the Music & Medicine and Humanities Cmtes, at the American Medical Women's Association 108th conference.
She performed her original songs at the Gala of the American Medical Women's Association, along with her Music and Medicine and Humanities Committee Members in Philadelphia.
