Last week many learned of the plan to move the Mother Cabrini statue in the Ironbound. A significant number of concerned individuals, myself included, wrote emails, made phone calls, posted on social media, and more to bring attention to this issue. While we do not have a definitive answer as to what is happening, we did get a response. Sort of.
Councilman Michael Silva has agreed to meet with concerned citizens and discuss the potential move of the Mother Cabrini statue. The meeting is taking place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 259 Oliver Street in Newark on Monday, July 1st at 7pm and is open to anyone who wants to understand the issue and ask questions.
