From a mobster on HBO to a "sausage king" on ABC Family, Steve Schirripa has seen it all. But at the core of it, the "Sopranos" star has deep Jersey Italian roots. Schirripa's sister has been a longtime school bus driver in Hazlet, where she continues to reside today.
His mother lived in a Shrewsbury nursing home with E Street rocker Steven Van Zandt's mom. "Steven is one of the most generous guys I know," Schirripa tells me. "He always picks up the check." Schirripa has fond memories of Asbury Park.
