Four days of food, fun and entertainment kicked off last night on the grounds of St. Vitus Church. Iceburgh, the Pittsburgh Penguins mascot, helped kick things off with an appearance at the church’s annual festival, posing with kids even doing a bit of an impromptu dance while the Lawrence County Band played, directed by Michael Palladino. Faiiella's Strolling Musicians also provided live entertainment, while face painters and a caricature artist exercised their talents.
Of course, the festival is known for its variety of food, and there was plenty of that, including Italian pastries, coverlet, pasta fagioli, and meatball, sausage, eggplant, chicken and steak sandwiches.
