Over 100 children and their parents from throughout the Valley took part in a special showing of "The LEGO Movie" in the Sayre High School auditorium, which was sponsored by the Sayre chapter of UNICO National. For over 10 years now, the Sayre chapter of UNICO National has sponsored a free movie for local children and their parents.
The event was highlighted by a visit from Santa Claus, who handed out candy canes and apples to the children as they exited the auditorium. The Sayre chapter of UNICO National was formed in 1967, and at the first formal meeting of the organization, it was decided that all of its efforts and all of the monies it received from fundraising would go only to benefit the physically and/or mentally handicapped.
