Three people have been killed and at least 13 others have been injured - three, seriously - in a head-on crash between a bus and a tractor-trailer on a highway in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountain region. The two vehicles - one of which was an Italian tour bus - collided in the northbound lanes of Interstate 380, near the Mount Pocono exit, shortly after 10am on Wednesday, Monroe County authorities said.
The impact sheared the trailer in half, with the bus stopping in the middle of the split vehicle. The truck's blue cab spun off the highway and came to a halt on a grassy area, one of its axles torn off. Three people died in the crash, while more than a dozen were injured. Many were left 'unconscious'.
