Governor Bob McDonnell announced today that best-selling Virginia author Adriana Trigiani will return to her hometown of Big Stone Gap to shoot the film version of her 2000 novel about the mountain town in Southwest Virginia.
Filming is scheduled to begin this fall. Virginia Film Office Director Andy Edmunds said his office has been working with Trigiani "for many years" to bring the film to fruition and "couldn't be happier that it will be made in Virginia."
