The Elizabeth Chapter of UNICO, a national Italian-American service organization, was one of the participants in the Columbus Day celebration hosted by the Union County Board of Freeholders and held at the Union County Courthouse, October 7.

Referring to Columbus Day, UNICO Elizabeth Chapter president Nino Quaglia said, "It's extremely important for Italian heritage and culture and to keep this going." Added the chapter's vice president George Marretta, "It is something we should be very proud and carry to the next generation."
