The parish of Holy Rosary Church in Cleveland's Little Italy is ready to host the 120th Annual Feast of the Assumption starting Wednesday, August 15th, through Saturday, August 18th. The Festival is a celebration of the Catholic Holy Day, August 15th, which commemorates the Blessed Virgin Mary being taken into heaven.

The Feast hours are as follows: Wednesday, August 15: Noon till 11:00 pm. Thursday, August 16: 6:00 pm till 11:00 pm. Friday, August 17: 6:00 pm till Midnight. Saturday, August 18: Noon till Midnight. During the posted hours, Mayfield Road, from the bottom of the hill at East 125th to the train underpass at E. 119th Street, will be closed to vehicular traffic.

Neighborhood restaurants, set up in front of their usual places of business, and other specialty vendors, offering traditional Italian food fare, will line Mayfield Road. In addition, restaurants will have their patio areas open with beer, wine, spirits and available seating.

Stands benefiting the Church are located on the grounds of Holy Rosary and offer a complete family experience. Offerings and activities include carnival rides and children’s games, Italian foods and desserts, live music, beer and wine, and a casino in the lower level of the church.

The Church has a complete schedule of all activities, including religious observances, at http://holy-rosary.org/schedule-of-events

The best way to navigate to The Feast is to take the RTA Red Line which has a stop in Little Italy. If traveling on the Green or Blue Lines from the east side, you can transfer to the Red Line at East 55th.

If you wish to drive, be ready to walk. You will see plenty of signs for parking on the outskirts of the main Festival area. Parking rates will vary: the closer you park to the Festival, the more expensive to park, but a typical price seems to be in the $10 to $15 range.

Buona Festa!
