The Midshipmen of the Naval Academy had a great football season and are looking to get even better in the years ahead with the addition of Joey Fornaro of Chesterland, OH. The West Geauga graduate has applied for acceptance to the naval academy and his 3.8 GPA in the classroom should, most certainly, help.
Fornaro was named the Defensive Player of the Year in Geauga County and made first team in the Chagrin Valley Conference as a Linebacker. Fornaro placed 1st team All District, All Academic and 2nd Team News Herald and 2nd Team All Ohio.
