Gina Madrigrano Friebus recalled the hard work of parents and the life lessons that helped her become a successful businesswoman during Sunday's Columbus Day banquet.
Friebus, a Kenosha native and second-generation Italian American, is one of only two women to be honored by the Italian American Society in the 43-year history of the award. The first was Mary Stortz in 1982.
