Memorial Day is Monday, May 27 but we will celebrate our veterans early. Join us to hear Casa Italia Genealogy Manager Jennifer Holik talk about Finishing the Story, and learn how you can tell the stories of your soldiers who died in service. What you will learn can also be applied to those who came home after the war. After the lecture enjoy light refreshments as you mix, mingle, share stories, and explore the veterans' museum.
Friday, May, 10th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Italian American Veterans Museum on the 3rd Floor of the main building. There is a fee of $10 per person. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required. You will go home with handouts filled with resources to help trace your family's genealogy and locate military records.
Please note: We are seeking copies of stories, records, photos, and other items documenting Italian American soldiers and their families in all wars. Please consider bringing copies of these items to the meeting to be added to the Casa Italia Genealogy Collection in conjunction with the records for the Veterans Museum.
