Today, we mourn the passing of Mario Massa. At 100 years old, Mario's legacy and impact on the game of bocce are palpable. A past President of the United States Bocce Federation and former President of the Highwood Bocce Club, Mario loved the game of Bocce and was dedicated to promoting the sport. He was instrumental in the emergence of the United States in international bocce competitions.
Mario was recognized for his efforts and awarded for his contributions to the game of Bocce by Romolo Rizzoli, a past President of the World Bocce Federation President in Rome. He will be missed dearly. Rest in Peace, Mario. A visitation is scheduled for this Friday, July 19th between the hours of 4:00-8:00 at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home at 858 Sheridan Road in Highwood, IL. Mass will be held Saturday, July 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, followed by a luncheon at the Highwood Bocce Club.
