A cherished event that honors St. Joseph, patron saint of workers and families, promises a day filled with tradition, community and generosity. The 47th annual Feast of St. Joseph celebration takes place March 10 at The Copeland Center, 2306 Fourth St. The festivities begin at 2 p.m. with the welcoming of attendees from across the region to partake in the beloved Sicilian tradition.
Guests will be treated to a serving of Sicilian pasta and bean dish, accompanied by an orange and a bread roll. The food, symbolizing abundance and unity, will be blessed by a Catholic priest, adding a sacred touch to the celebration. A suggested donation of $20 per person will be accepted at the door, with all proceeds directly benefiting the local charities dedicated to assisting children and needy families within the community.
