Ferragosto, the annual Italian summer feast, is preparing for its return to Chicago beaches. Taking place at Oak Street Beach, Ferragosto is an Italian public holiday celebrating the beginning of summer vacation, when Italians head to the coast to eat, drink and celebrate together.
Chefs Tony Mantuano and Joe Flamm from Spiagga Restaurant and Lounge join Good Day Chicago to talk about the holiday and what the event has to offer. Tickets are $150 per person and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. If you are interested, call (312) 280-2750 or visit EventBrite.com.
