Dear Friends, I am honored to embark on my new role as Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Chicago. Building upon the Institute's rich tradition of showcasing Italy's classic and contemporary heritage, from the humanities to science, is an exciting challenge for me, one that I embrace with great enthusiasm. I look forward to working in close collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy and other Italian governmental agencies in Chicago, such as the Italian Trade Agency, as well as with leading cultural institutions in the US, to present a wide variety of stimulating, thought-provoking events.
The Institute is also home to ItalCultura and offers Italian language and culture courses taught by highly skilled native-speakers. I welcome the opportunity to expand these high-quality language courses even further.
And last but certainly not least, I look forward to meeting each of you and thanking you for your active participation, which is vital to the ongoing success of this Institute.
It will be an immense pleasure welcoming you to our upcoming events.
Sincerely,
Alberta Lai
