A historic family-owned barbershop in Garfield Place opened its doors again Friday. Two younger generation Cincinnati brothers teamed up to keep the family business alive. The Fausto Ferrari Barbershop on Garfield Place has been around since the 1920s. Tony and Austin Ferrari decided they wanted to keep the tradition going.
“As kids we grew up in this place eating deli meats and cheese and hanging out. We never thought, 'Oh, maybe one day we will take over the barber shop,” Tony Ferrari said. “They cut a lot of amazing people. We had the arch bishop in here all the time. All the Reds players would come. All the city officials, lawyers. These guys they knew everybody. They loved them."
