Local history was made last weekend as three Mt. Morris coaches, six athletes and two teams were inducted into the Mt. Morris Athletic Hall of Fame.
More than 200 people ─ including many from out of state ─ were in attendance for the first induction ceremony, which was "long overdue," said Mt. Morris Athletic Director Jeff Kline, who started the institution. Kline also received a letter of congratulations from Kevin White, Vice President and Director of Athletics at Duke University, and a former Mt. Morris athletic director.
