Alberto Rizzuti, born in Turin in 1963, is one of Verdi's leading scholars. After a Ph.D. in Chicago in 2001, he currently teaches History of Musical Civilization at the University of Turin.
In 2008, he edited the critical edition of Verdi's opera "Giovanna d'Arco." In his lecture, Prof. Rizzuti will discuss Verdi's life and works from his debut up to 1850. Light refreshments will be offered.
