Our Lady of Peace Parish celebrates 119th annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival

Over 300 people crowded into Our Lady of Mount Carmel church on Sunday to be part of a Mass and procession marking the last day of the 119th annual Our Lady of Peace Parish summer festival. The procession ran north on Columbus Avenue from the church to the Sons of Italy Lodge and back again.
The services and procession were part of a three day-long festival that began on Friday. The annual festival included not only religious observations, but a homemade cavatelli pasta dinner, a fair midway with games and rides and a large fireworks display.
