We are Pursuing Our Italian Names Together, Chapter 22. We are also known as and the Italian Family History Club at the Italian Community Center and Milwaukee County Genealogical Society's Italian Area Interest Group. Our next meeting will be April 25, 2015, at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, starting at 10:30 a.m. and concluding at noon.

Directions: On 794 East, the Juneau/Jackson exit is closed. Heading east, exit at James Lovell and turn left onto E. St. Paul. Take E. St. Paul to Jackson. Turn right on Jackson. The Italian Community Center is on E. Chicago Street. Parking is available behind the building.

At our meeting, we will update each other on new developments in genealogy, new progress in our research, using DNA and other sources in our research and we will offer suggestions to help one another overcome brick walls.

Each year we provide a display at Festa Italiana in Milwaukee featuring a different region of Italy. Planning is underway for our display in the Culture Tent. As of this time, the featured region will be Lazio http://www.italyworldclub.com/lazio/. If the space we are given permits, we will also add a display on Italy as a whole and Sicily. Most Milwaukee Italians are from Southern Italy and Sicily.

The dates for Festa Italiana 2015 will be July 17, 2015 through July 19, 2015. For details about Festa Italiana as they develop, go to http://www.festaitaliana.com/main.html. If you are coming to Festa Italiana, please stop at our display in the Culture tent. Members will be available from opening to 5:00 p.m. We would enjoy talking about Italian genealogy with you.

Our other meetings in 2015 will be on Saturdays, September 19 and November 14, starting at 10:30 a.m. and concluding at noon. You are welcome to attend.
