The afternoon of Saturday June 16th promises to be a very enjoyable one at the Cleveland History Center in University Circle – especially if you are into wines and winemaking!  From 1:00-4:00p.m. the CHC will host History on Tap: Uncorked. Each History on Tap features a unique theme, happy hour libations, and activities inspired by Cleveland’s exceptional past.  On June 16th the focus is on Italian wine making traditions and is appropriately titled “Uncorked.”

Guests will enjoy wine from local vineyards and wineries in the Cleveland History Center’s Italianate gardens, feast on pizza from the Fire Truck Pizza Company, and listen to live mandolin music by Joe Abate and friends.  There will also be pop-up talks on Italian American history and a chance to learn more about that history through displays of rarely seen artifacts in the new exhibit experience Cleveland Starts Here® sponsored by the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation.Attendees will create wine glass charms and a wine tasting journal.  Participation in a scavenger hunt will provide the chance to learn trivia and win prizes.
