The southern fusion thing was interesting, but ultimately not in the cards. Balwinder Bal, longtime owner of Bombay Cuisine in Eastown, has rebranded the other half of his dual establishment again at 1420 Lake Drive SE, abruptly dropping the new name, chef and cuisine installed just last summer.
Radix Tavern, a southern fusion concept helmed by chef Jayson Leek, is out. Trattoria di' Stagione, a seasonal Italian-style joint venture between Bal and former Tuscan Express chef/owner Dan Chudik, is in.
