The Summit County Italian-American Festival returns to downtown Akron on Aug. 3-5 with Italian and American cuisine, tribute bands that pay homage to Italian crooners and a fireworks display. The festival offers free admission and runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day at Cascade Plaza and on Bowery Street in downtown Akron.
The festival location shifted this year due to Lock 3 renovations, according to event organizers. The festival is open to people of all ages and features Italian and American cuisine from 10 vendors for purchase. The festival is hosted by the Council of Italian-American Societies of Summit County.
