Viva La Panza, the premier fundraising and networking event of the Italian community, drew 650 men to Todaro's Party Center on Wednesday for an evening of great food and camaraderie. Ralph Trecaso and John Montisano co-chaired the event, presented by the Italian-American Professional and Businessmen's Club and the House of LaRose, to raise funds for scholarships for students of Italian descent.
"We recently teamed up with the Akron Community Foundation to start a permanent endowment fund," said Trecaso. Montisano added: "We want to leave a legacy to help students going on to college," as they discussed plans to raise over $1 million for the endowment.
