Join us for another Italian Heritage workshop - easy readings in Italian & discussion on topics that include Italian cultural traditions, historical events and individuals who sparked change. This month, we feature the story and tradition of Presepio, the recreation of the nativity scene using model figures. Through the lens of Corrado Alvaro, a 20th century Italian writer from the region of Calabria, we will read a short story and learn from Italian native, Elisabetta Re about the meaning and long history of Presepio.
This workshop will be held on Thursday, December 10, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Italian Cultural Center, in Hennepin Center for the Arts Building. The workshop is open to intermediate and advanced Italian speakers. The tuition is $30 for members, and $40 for non-members. One session only. Class material will be provided by the instructor.
