The 31st annual Columbus Day Festival filled the streets on Federal Hill on Saturday. Federal Hill Commerce Association President Rick Simone said the four-day festival goes from Dean Street to Sutton Street and includes food, art, and retail vendors alongside games, three stages for live entertainment, and a parade on Sunday.
He added that his favorite part of the festival is the live chef demonstrations where cooks show the public their culinary skills. “As an Italian-American, there is a sense of pride in seeing all the people here come to celebrate and appreciate these traditions,” Simone said. “It’s a melting pot of what takes place here and what we have to show.”
