Award-winning author Christopher Castellani will speak about his new novel, “Leading Men,” at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 26 at The Music Hall Loft in Portsmouth. The novel is a story of desire, artistic ambition, and fidelity featuring Tennessee Williams, Truman Capote, and their social circle in 1950s Italy.
Weaving fact and fiction to navigate the tensions between public figures and their private lives, Castellani tells a heartbreaking story about the burdens of fame and the complex negotiations of life in the shadows of greatness. With a glittering cast of characters, “Leading Men” reveals the hidden machinery of one of the great literary love stories of the 20th century.
