Hello everyone, my name is Louis Strazzullo and I am the chairman for The North End Columbus Day Parade located in Boston's Little Italy. This parade was started back in the early 50's by the V.F.W of our neighborhood. Every year they would celebrate the Italian American Heritage with a Grand parade through this great neighborhood "little Italy". Through the years it has been passed down to younger generations with hopes that the tradition goes on. Every other year we still put on the best parade that we can, but it gets tougher and tougher. Our committee does its best every year to raise funds, because we want to keep tradition going.
We are now reaching out to everyone in need of help. Our goal is to successfully raise $20,000 to be able to put on the most entertaining parade our crowd can see. Our parade not only celebrates Italian/ Americans, but we dedicate our whole first division towards our troops and invite many units and bands to march.
