Five generations of Ann Pacetti's family have been involved with the Cristoforo Colombo Regina Elena Lodge No. 169, Order Sons of Italy in America, beginning with her grandmother and continuing today with numerous grandchildren.
Pacetti, 91, who currently serves as treasurer, has been a part of the Fitchburg lodge for at least 40 of the 100 years that the second lodge in the state has existed. Both she and her husband, John, who died in 2008, immigrated from Italy at young ages, she from Duccino, in the province of Salerno, and he from Ascoli Piceno in the Marche.
