The Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland says that the St. Peter’s Italian Bazaar, scheduled for August, has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The bazaar is scheduled to return in 2021.
The annual event brings thousands of people to Federal Street to commemorate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Feast of Saint Rocco. The bazaar dates back to 1925.
