The Verrazzano Day Observance Committee, comprised of members from the Order Sons of Italy in America (Grand Lodge of Rhode Island) and Italian American War Veterans of the United States (Rhode Island division), recently honored Joseph DeSantis, CEO of Tri-Town Community Action Agency and South County Community Action Agency, as its 2015 Man of the Year.
"I'm truly honored and deeply humbled to be here this evening," DeSantis said after receiving an honorary plaque from the previous year's honoree, Dr. Giulio Diamante.
