Carmine Di Sibio is the Former Global Chairman and CEO of EY (formerly Ernst & Young) and played a pivotal role in the growth and innovation of one of the world’s leading professional services organizations. He began his career with EY as an auditor in 1985 and held several roles, including EY Global Managing Partner-Client Service, before being appointed CEO in 2019.
His leadership has included strategizing through the transformation of the workplace since the pandemic. As of July 1, he joined, as an independent director, the boards of PayPal and Prudential. Born in Italy, Carmine emigrated with his family at age three and was raised in Glen Cove, New York.
He was the first in his family to attend college, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Colgate University and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University, which propelled his extensive career in financial services.
Carmine is deeply committed to building a more equitable and sustainable world. He is on the board of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, is active in the World Economic Forum, co-chairs the New York Jobs CEO Council, co-chairs NYC's Future of Workers Task Force, and is a member of the Council for Inclusive Capitalism with the Vatican. He also serves on the Board of Family Promise, the Foundation for Empowering Citizens with Autism, and his alma mater Colgate University.
