The Sons of Italy Cellini Lodge #2206 of New Hyde Park honored New York Yankees great Joe DiMaggio along with other Italian American Baseball Legends at its annual Columbus Day observance last Thursday night.
"They were trailblazers," said Joseph Sciame, past Sons of Italy national president and Cellini Lodge president. "It highlights their achievements in sports. It also highlights them as a person."
