Central New York Playhouse's newest production, Len Fonte's "Melagrana," which opened on Friday, is possibly their toughest, most challenging production to date.
It is certainly among the most intense and gripping shows that have been performed in the area. Directed as well as written by Fonte, and set in modern Sicily near an architectural dig, it traces the reactions of a small group of people to the events that involve a murder.
