Former News12 anchor Doug Geed will help lead the Columbus Day Parade on Oct. 13, joining three others serving as grand marshals. Butch Yamali, president of Dover Group Business Company, and Marisol and Biagio Isgro, Jr., the state president of Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, will also seve as grand marshals.
The parade route will reverse this year, starting on Main Street at Clinton Avenue and heading east to Heckscher Park, where the Long Island Fall Festival will be underway. In past years, the parade went from Main Street and Park Avenue to the Christopher Columbus statue at Main Street and Lawrence Hill Road. It will step off at 11 a.m.
